We are proud to share that due to the continued success and growth of Salute to Our Troops Houston, our one-of-a-kind-salute program has moved to become an official committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™. March, 2011, in its inaugural year, the Armed Forces Appreciation Committee coordinated and hosted the Armed Forces Appreciation Day with a return of over 3000 active duty and reservist troops, wounded heroes, military dependents, Medal of Honor recipient Mike Thornton, the Lone Star Honor Flight WWII heroes, static displays and more.
