Wreaths Across America - A New Houston Tradition
We are honored to introduce you to a new Houston tradition and organization -- Wreaths Across America-Houston. At the Houston National Cemetery there are 53,000+ grave sites of military men and women whose selflessness and bravery served our country and protected our freedom. Please join us in raising awareness and funds to purchase wreaths at the low cost of $15.00 per wreath. Volunteers and contributors are invited to enroll on the organizations web site. Please also join us for a special Christmas ceremony as the wreaths are laid on December 13, 2008.

Our Mission:
REMEMBER - HONOR - TEACH
Wreaths Across America - Houston is partnering with the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes this holiday season to raise money for the first annual wreath-laying ceremony, Saturday, December 13th, 2008. It will take place at 11:00am at the Houston National Cemetery. With your online donation of $250 or more, you will receive two tickets to see the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, January 3rd, 2009 at the Toyota Center! This offer is limited, valid for online donations only, while supplies last. Stand in history this holiday season by being part of the inaugural year of this new Houston tradition.
"The Wreaths Across America - Houston project is well under way and donors are starting to come through! You may have already seen the great public service announcement KHOU Channel 11 has started running. The ads and the KHOU website link became active on July 3rd. We have several radio interviews scheduled in the coming months to continue to promote this amazing project. WAA - Houston has also gone GREEN! The gracious folks at Humble Recycling will be dismantling and completely recycling all 53,000 wreaths after our clean up day in January."
"Things Are coming together, but there is an enormous amount of donations, volunteers and planning still to be done. Please let your contacts know what we are doing and how they can help with donations and volunteering. Let them know they too can be part of Houston history! With Texas being #1 in military recruits, and second in Iraqui War casualties, I know the spirit of Texas will come shining through Houston on the Wreaths Across America - Houston project."
